Fundamentals that we will emphasize this season

CONTROL THE BALL at all times. How do we do this?

- Keep your head up when you have the ball
- When you have the ball - Look for open teammates
- Pass the ball to open players
- Don't try to dribble through multiple players
- When you dribble, keep the ball close to you
- If you get in trouble with no place to play the ball, then shield the ball with your body until you have a way out
- Get open when you DON'T have the ball

2 - We must defend whenever the other team has control of the ball. How do we do this?

- EVERYBODY PLAYS DEFENSE!!!! Not just the defenders. If we lose the ball while trying to score, then EVERYONE must immediately transition to defense.
- Cover up - Play tight to the other player when they are close to our goal!

TEAMWORK - How can we better work together as a team?

- Everyone moves up together - We all play offense.
- Everyone moves back together - we all play defense
- COMMUNICATE! We need more talking out there, i.e., tell your teammates when you are open.
- Tell your teammates that someone is on them, i.e., "MAN ON"
